Where each kind of helicopter ticket is sold
- Kedarnath shuttle from Guptkashi, Phata and Sersi: sold only on IRCTC HeliYatra, heliyatra.irctc.co.in, whichever operator flies the sector. See helicopter booking for Kedarnath.
- Hemkund Sahib, Govindghat to Ghangaria: on IRCTC HeliYatra, or arranged with our Hemkund Sahib package, price on request.
- Vaishno Devi, Katra to Sanjichhat and Jammu to Bhawan: only on the Shrine Board's website. See Vaishno Devi helicopter booking.
- Chardham and Do Dham from Dehradun: packages with stays and transfers, quoted in writing. See the Chardham Yatra by helicopter and the Do Dham Yatra by helicopter.
- Your own route and date: a private helicopter charter, helicopter on rent or a corporate helicopter charter, with the operator cleared for that flight.
How to check a helicopter operator
Anyone offering helicopter charter services in India without a valid operator permit is operating illegally, whatever their website says. Ask for the certificate number. A legitimate operator will give it without hesitation, and the regulator publishes the list of current holders so you can check it yourself.
- Pay only IRCTC, the Shrine Board, the operator, or a written quote from a company you have checked, never into a personal account.
- A seat offered on social media or by phone, with pressure to pay today, is a fake.
- Check that the name on the quote matches the operator named on your confirmation.
