Tell us the requirement once. It is routed to the operators who actually fly that mission, and their quotations come back for comparison in one place — with validity, inclusions and flying hours on the face of each one.

How a request becomes a flight

Four steps, and only the last one costs money

  1. RequirementService-specific details, not a generic contact form.
  2. Eligible operatorsRouted only to partners approved for that mission.
  3. Feasibility & quoteHours, positioning, standby, inclusions, validity.
  4. Compare & acceptAccepting raises a booking from the quote — nothing re-typed.

Seat or charter: which one you need

A seat is a place on a flight an operator already flies on a fixed route and date, such as the Kedarnath, Hemkund Sahib or Chardham services and published joy rides. Seats are booked from the seat calendar at the published fare. Kedarnath shuttle tickets are sold only by IRCTC.

A charter is the whole helicopter for your own route, date and time: a business trip, a wedding arrival, a private pilgrimage, an election campaign, an aerial survey or flower showering. There is no fixed fare; each operator quotes for the job. This page is for charters.

What to send for a quote

  • The route: where the helicopter picks you up and where it lands, with any stops.
  • The date, or a window of dates, and the time you need to be there.
  • How many passengers, and roughly how much baggage or equipment.
  • Whether a helipad or cleared landing area exists at each end.
  • For a mission (survey, filming, showering, deployment): the area, the equipment and how many hours or days.

The more of this the enquiry has, the fewer questions come back before a quote.

What decides the price

Charters are priced on flying hours, so the price depends on the aircraft, the distance and how far the helicopter must fly from its base to reach you and get back (positioning, or ferry). Waiting or standby time, night halts, landing permissions and taxes are added where they apply. Each written quote lists these, with what is included and how long the quote is valid.

What to check before you pay

  • The aircraft type and seats, and the weight it can carry on that route.
  • Flying hours, positioning and waiting charges, and whether taxes are inside the amount.
  • Landing permissions at both ends, and who arranges them.
  • The cancellation terms, including what happens if weather stops the flight.

Operations remain subject to weather, permissions and the operating aviation company's decision to fly. For seats and fares, see the helicopter booking guide or all helicopter charter services.

Questions

Get a Helicopter Charter Quote, FAQs

Who sends the helicopter charter quote?
The operators who fly that kind of job. Your enquiry goes only to approved operators for that service, and each one that can fly it replies with a written quote you can compare on one page.
What does a charter quote include?
The amount and taxes, the flying hours, positioning or ferry from the helicopter's base, any waiting or standby time, what is included and how long the quote is valid.
Does it cost anything to ask for a quote?
No. Sending the enquiry is free. Money is paid only when you accept a quote and the booking is raised from it.
Is a quote a confirmed booking?
No. It becomes one when a quote is accepted, payment is made and the operator confirms. Every flight stays subject to weather, permissions and the operator's decision to fly.
Can I book a Kedarnath or Hemkund Sahib seat here?
Seats on fixed routes are booked from the seat calendar, not by quote. Kedarnath shuttle tickets are sold only by IRCTC. Hemkund Sahib seats are booked through IRCTC, or as an operator seat for package customers.
Do I need a helipad for a charter?
The helicopter needs a usable helipad or a cleared landing area with permission to land at each end. If you do not have one, say so in the enquiry; the operator checks the site before quoting.
