About this trip

A Valley of Flowers trip built around the meadows

This package flies from Dehradun, with a night there before the flight, and gives a full day inside the Valley of Flowers, a UNESCO World Heritage Site within the Nanda Devi biosphere. From Ghangaria the path climbs into the valley itself, which is walked: the park is open to walkers only, and entry is by a forest department permit at the gate.

The Valley of Flowers season is July to September. It is at its most colourful in these monsoon months, when the meadows are in full bloom, which is also when the weather is least predictable for flying; a spare day is worth planning in.

Gurudwara Shri Hemkund Sahib is a separate climb from the same base at Ghangaria. For a trip built around darshan at the Gurudwara, see the Hemkund Sahib helicopter booking from Govindghat.
