Helicopter services we arrange around Gulmarg
- Heli skiing in Kashmir. The helicopter replaces the ski lift, setting a small group high in the Pir Panjal to ski untracked runs down to a pickup point. It runs usually from January to March, when there is enough snow and the weather allows flying. If you have only skied groomed pistes, spend a few days skiing powder at Gulmarg first.
- Amarnath Ji Yatra by helicopter with a Gulmarg day. The 4 nights 5 days package (Baltal side) and the 5 nights 6 days package (Pahalgam side) add Srinagar and a same-day Gulmarg trip after darshan. See the Amarnath Ji Yatra by helicopter.
- Private helicopter charter in Kashmir for a family, a group or a business trip, and helicopter for weddings, landing at a site cleared for the flight.
- Helicopter for film shooting and air ambulance transfers from the valley.
Charters are quoted on enquiry, subject to operator availability and the permissions the flight needs. Kashmir airspace needs security clearances, so some routes and landing sites are not possible on every date. Prices are on request, and you get a written quote before anything is paid.
Getting to Gulmarg
Gulmarg is at 2,440 metres, about 51 km and 2 hours by road from Srinagar, whose airport is the nearest. The Gondola cable car from Gulmarg to Khilan is a separate ticket, bought there. More across the region: helicopter service in Jammu and Kashmir; and for heli skiing in Himachal, Manali helicopter booking.
How booking a helicopter works
- Send the date, the number of passengers and what you want to do: heli skiing, the Amarnath yatra, a charter or a wedding.
- We check availability with the operator cleared for that kind of flight and send you a written quote.
- You pay only after accepting the quote, never into a personal account.
Flights run in daylight and fair weather only, and the pilot has the final say on the day; keep a spare day in the plan, above all for heli skiing. The operator flying your trip is named on your quote; see helicopter operators in India.
