Helicopter charter to Haridwar for the Kumbh
A private charter takes your group to Haridwar on your date, from Dehradun, Delhi or another city, and lands at a helipad or airport cleared for the flight. It suits families with elders, groups short on time, and anyone who would rather not spend the day on the roads into Haridwar during the Mela.
Charters near the Mela need the administration's permission, and movement around the ghats is tightly controlled on the main bathing days, so a charter is easiest on the days in between. Every charter is quoted in writing for the route and date; see how a charter price is worked out.
Helicopter joy rides and aerial darshan
Short helicopter rides over the Ganga and the Mela are run by operators with the administration's permission, when and where it is given. Send us your dates and group size and we will tell you what is flying and the price as soon as it is announced. Every ride depends on weather and permissions on the day.
How to reach Haridwar
Haridwar is on the main rail line, and Delhi is about 220 km away by road. The nearest airport is Jolly Grant, Dehradun, about 35 km from Haridwar. Expect diversions, parking zones and heavy traffic around the Amrit Snans, and arrive a day before any bathing day you plan to attend.
After the Kumbh: the Chardham yatra
The Kumbh ends on 20 April, shortly before the Chardham temples open for the season. If you are combining the two, the Chardham Yatra by Helicopter and Do Dham start from Dehradun, an hour from Haridwar.
